Our expert Circuit Lab instructors are dedicated to teaching today's most valuable skills in a fun, engaging, and hands-on way. Forget passive screen time – your child will learn to manipulate electronic devices, master the art of coding, and bring their own inventive ideas to life. Interactive Coding for Kids!

Unleash Your Child's Inner Game Designer & Storyteller!
  • Ages: 8-11
  • Focus: Introduction to Scratch programming & interactive hardware with Makey Makey.
Does your child love stories and games? In this dynamic, hands-on class, students will dive into the world of Scratch programming, a colorful, block-based coding language developed by MIT. They'll learn to craft their own interactive stories, build exciting games, and watch their digital creations come alive!

But the fun doesn't stop there! We’ll then supercharge their projects using Makey Makey invention kits. Imagine turning everyday objects into a piano, a custom video game controller, or a cool pressure sensor! Students will not only learn essential 21st-century coding skills but also boost their creativity and critical thinking through fun, collaborative project challenges. No prior coding experience is needed – just a curious mind!

App Inventors!

Dream It, Design It, Build Your Own App!

  • Ages: 9-13
  • Focus: Mobile app development with MIT App Inventor & Bluetooth hardware integration.
Ever wondered how those cool apps on your phone or tablet actually work? Does your child have a brilliant idea for the next must-have app? This is the place to start! In our "App Inventors" program, students will embark on an exciting journey into the world of mobile app creation using MIT App Inventor.

This course requires no previous experience, just enthusiasm to learn! Participants will discover both the programming logic and creative design principles behind building fantastic apps for Android devices. We’ll even explore the magic of wireless communication by building custom Bluetooth hardware controllers and readouts for their unique app creations. With the expert guidance of Circuit Lab instructors, students will gain the confidence and skills to design and build their very own functional apps!
