Our expert Circuit Lab instructors are dedicated to teaching today's most valuable skills in a fun, engaging, and hands-on way. - Focus: Introduction to Scratch programming & interactive hardware with Makey Makey.
This course gives young makers that critical edge. We start by exploring the magic of electronics with simple circuits, then begin making customized programmable devices with Arduino. We will gain practice working with LEDs, speakers, a variety of sensors, and several kid-friendly programming interfaces. Each class day is a chance to design, build, and code a new hands-on project while developing a valuable skill set.

App Inventors!
Dream It, Design It, Build Your Own App!
- Focus: Mobile app development with MIT App Inventor & Bluetooth hardware integration.
Ever wondered how those cool apps on your phone or tablet actually work? Does your child have a brilliant idea for the next must-have app? This is the place to start! In our "App Inventors" program, students will embark on an exciting journey into the world of mobile app creation using MIT App Inventor.
This course requires no previous experience, just enthusiasm to learn! Participants will discover both the programming logic and creative design principles behind building fantastic apps for Android devices. We’ll even explore the magic of wireless communication by building custom Bluetooth hardware controllers and readouts for their unique app creations. With the expert guidance of Circuit Lab instructors, students will gain the confidence and skills to design and build their very own functional apps!
